At the Throttle of #611
On June 17, 2016, I had the opportunity of a lifetime - to sit in the cab of a steam locomotive and to actually run it! Ok, so it was only on a half-mile siding, and I only had 3 round trips up and down that siding, but I RAN the locomotive.
 This was the "consist" - the locomovite , tender and caboose. |
 This is yours truly at the throttle of number 611. |
 Was it worth it? I think the ear-to-ear grin says it all! |
